"The Mountens Grnell" by Andrew

(or conventionally spelled The Mountains Journal).

We headed to Pilot Mountain early Saturday morning to hike.  It was the perfect morning.  The kids were great hikers.  Molly did not want to ride.  She wanted to RUN!  Ryan was a great explorer and noticed everything.   Andrew brought along a nature journal (completely his idea) and recorded his discoveries.  We stopped every few feet it seemed so he could write something else down.  (as you can tell from the pictures, we stopped a lot)!

-REALL DEAR (real deer)
-BIRDS
-MUSIC SONG (there was a man playing his guitar and singing at the tob of the little knob)
-SPIDER
-ACORN (The boys found this neat knot hole that squirrels had been storing nuts in, so they decided to help by adding to the collection).
-EGELLS (eagles)
-MOON
-BUTERFLY (butterfly)
-Green Mooss (moss)
-PINE NEEDELS (pine needles)
-SUN
-LEFES (leaves)
-BIG ROCKS
-HIWAY (highway, you could see it from the top of the mountain)
-CREEK
-DOG NAMED FAMIS (Famous)
-REAL BIRD FAETHERS (feathers)
-APPLE TREE

awesome, I love this story of your hiking adventure. So I assume Andrew spelled all of those words himself. That is super. I share your love for hiking.
