Lucky Number Seven

WARNING: BRAGGING and SAPPY MOM ALERT
My Andrew turned seven this week.  He is such a fun and obedient boy and has been an amazing blessing in our lives.  Andrew is a great big brother and a loving son.  As he gets older, he becomes more and more like the stereotypical oldest child.  He looks after his younger siblings, he is eager to help, and thrives on verbal affirmation.   He has many responsibilities at home and takes them very seriously. He wants to make good choices and tries hard to choose friends who follow the rules.  He is very tenderhearted and affectionate. He saves the lunch notes I write him each day, cries at sad parts in movies, and gives hugs to those he loves all the time.

Andrew is also always up to a challenge.  The quickest way to get him to do something is to tell him it can't be done.  That or offer to pay him.  Not that he would spend any of his money.  He is saver, not a spender. Andrew has become an avid reader, favoring books that are very challenging for him (sometimes a little too challenging).  He loves to write stories and makes lists.  He wants to be a writer when he grows up.  He loves his karate class.  His teacher says he is a very serious student.

I can't believe there is only a year until my little guy turns 8 and is baptized.  He has set a goal to read the entire Book of Mormon before he turns 8.  I am very proud of the young man he is becoming.

ANDREW'S FAVORITES

Andrew weighs 44.4 pounds and is 44 inches tall.  (Up 5 pounds and 3 inches from last year).

This picture was taken the night I took Andrew to see the Nutcracker for the first time.  He loved it!
