Andrew asked Santa for Lego Hogwarts Express...and Santa delivered. He received a "new to him" bike from Mommy and Daddy as well as the Chronicles of Narnia and the Series of Unfortunate Events collections. Ryan made him that cool treasure box. And our friends the Reeders sent our family the Krispy Kreme calendar.
Ryan asked Santa for a Leapfrog Explorer and the Ninjago movie...and again Santa managed to get them for him. We gave him a "new to him" bike and a couple of books he had asked for. We also got him a Ninjago lego bike. When he started to open it up he got very excited. "It is just what I always wanted," he said as he saw the logo. But when he opened it all the way, his face fell. "Well. actually I really wanted to jet. Not the bike." When he put it together, he was thrilled to have it. But the initial reaction was not happy. Andrew gave Ryan the book he is reading above. Andrew made a recording of himself reading it aloud. Ryan loved it!
Molly asked Santa for a Belle dress and a princess baby doll. We gave her a scooter (she calls it a cooter). She also received a large box of dress up clothes from us and spent the entire day trying on each of the costumes and accessories. Ryan spent hours decorating the jewelry box she is holding and she loved it. Andrew recorded a book for her as well. Camille the Cupcake Fairy is her new favorite bedtime story.
The children were so affectionate towards each other all morning. I loved the hugs they gave each other when they opened presents from each of their siblings. Together they received some family gifts, including magnatiles, legos, and games. As you can see, Molly decided the Legos were all hers!
We missed seeing everyone, but we still had a nice Christmas.
