Christmas Eve

When Chad came home from work, we headed straight over to Nana and Papa's for our traditional Christmas Eve festivities.

Molly helped Nana make the reindeer cookies Molly requested to have at our Christmas Eve Buffet.

We also had Christmas ham and tons of other yummy treats.

Molly was very excited to be the angel in our nativity play.  She picked out her whole outfit. The white dress. The fairy wings.  The star wand for the shepherds to follow.  It was so sweet.  She loves playing with the nativity my dad made.

She also loves playing with the tiny people in the Christmas village.

Since we were missing Emily and Rachel, we invited the Sister Missionaries to join us for dinner and our Nativity play.  One of the sisters played Mary, while her companion asked to be the donkey.   They were so much fun and such good sports. My mom was the narrator and dad and I were shepherds.

Ryan played the Wiseman this year.

Molly was the angel.

Andrew played Joseph this year.  The cute Sister missionary handed Andrew her hair to lead her by as the donkey.  She was hilarious!

Chad was the camel.

Here are our little performers.

After the play, the sisters had to leave.  Papa read The Littlest Angel to us.

We sang Christmas songs and Andrew accompanied us on several of the songs.

Then it was the moment our kids had been waiting for...time to open presents!

Nana had fun disguising gifts for these snoopy little peepers. She had wrapped one of Ryan's presents in a waffle box.  He thought it really was waffles and thought it was hilarious!

He was even more excited to find out it had gummy bears inside.

After opening presents, we packed up and headed home to get ready for Santa. We sprinkled reindeer food on the ground.

Then Andrew wanted to use his new telescope to try and spot Santa.

When we were done, the kiddos all had a sleepover together and waited for Santa to come.
