Ryan's 8th Birthday Nerf Gun Party

My Ry-guy turned 8 this week!  At our new school, they have a Spirit Rock that you can have painted for your birthday.  We went the night before his birthday and painted it yellow, and a neighborhood friend painted the design for us.  Ryan loved his Nerf themed rock!

I brought whole fruit Trader Joes Popsicles to his class and ate lunch with him and two buddies.

Then after school, we had a Nerf Party!  We had 9 boys, Molly, and my sister Rachel for the big celebration!

This was such a fun party to prep for! When the guests arrived, we had them each grab a nerf gun, safety goggles, bullets, and a bullet pouch. These were the party favors.

All of the food we served was orange and blue, except for the pizza.

Chad was our Range Officer and got the boys their gear.

They decorated their pouches and labeled all of their equipment.

This was Molly's favorite part of the whole party....well that and the cheese balls.

Once everyone had arrived, Chad gave the boys instructions and introduced them to the target shooting practice drills.

The first was the Tin Can Challenge.

The second challenge was to knock the ping pong balls off of the bottles.

The third was target practice.  One of the boys got a bullseye!

The fourth game was called moving targets.  Chad threw balloons from behind a wall and the boys tried to hit them.

Once the boys were done perfecting their aim, they headed out for a 4 on 4 battle.

I am not sure who won the battle, but they all seemed to have a great time!  Ryan has such nice friends.  Once everyone left, I took a nap. At 7pm. LOL

Thanks for every other informative site. The place else may just I get that kind of information written in such an ideal means? I have a venture that I’m just now operating on, and I have been on the look out for such information.

Such a great party!!! I was wondering if you would share where is bought the "Nerf Wars" iron on for the pouches. I am planning my son's 8th birthday and this would be such a great addition. Thank you in advance! Elizabeth

It's interesting that a blogger won't share the "how" on the iron on logo. I think it can be done with the T shirt iron on that you get from Michael's craft store. It is printed in your home printer. If you google nerf war logo and click images tab, you will see that exact logo. I bought Lowe's aprons, but the Lowe's symbol is really big. I am going to try home depot. Also, another blogger shows aprons that were bought at a craft store that do not have a logo and would be easier to iron on the decal. Good luck other nerf war party people! PS-very nice blog and party!
