Thanksgiving Week 2015

Thanksgiving Weekend was a whirlwind of travel and celebrations.  We are blessed with so many loved ones and opportunities to be together.

On Tuesday, Emily joined me to help out with Ryan's 3rd Grade Thanksgiving Feast and Molly's fun turkey craft.   It was fun  to have her volunteer with me in the kids' rooms.

On Wednesday, we headed up to see Nanie Too-Too for her 95th birthday.  We ate cake, put together puzzles, and opened cards with her at the rec room in her new home.

We spent the night at Nana's house and Ryan helped me make deviled eggs for the next day's Thanksgiving Feast.

Thursday morning, we headed down to Pinehurst to celebrate with the Carolina Cousins and Grandma and Grandpa.  The weather was beautiful.  The kids played at the park most of the day.  They made a fruit turkey, too.  We enjoyed dinner and then played a fun game called Family Challenge, where the grown-ups competed against the children.

After dinner, we drove all the way back to Winston-Salem to spend the night again for some Black Friday shopping with my mom and sisters.  Chad and the kids went to play with our adopted family, the Westbrooks all day.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing family and friends we have been blessed with.  We love you all!
